Code 35: System firmware does not include enough information to configure and use this device

Microsoft attributes this to missing/incomplete firmware resource information.

First action

Contact/check the computer manufacturer for a BIOS/firmware update.

Use the error code as a Windows device-state clue. It does not by itself identify the exact failed component inside the hardware.

Then verify

Do not stop at the code disappearing

    Confirm the update applies to the exact model.

    Use normal firmware safety precautions and official downloads only.

After Windows reports the device normally, run the matching DeviceOK test when one exists—for example camera, microphone, keyboard, mouse, controller or audio—to confirm the user-facing function works.
