What this symptom tells you

browser requests take much longer than expected or vary sharply between samples

DeviceOK measures an application-level HTTP round trip to its own endpoint. That is useful for comparison but is not ICMP ping and is not a certified ISP speed test.

    Compare Wi-Fi and wired Ethernet if available.

    Pause large downloads/uploads and compare again.

Evidence-led sequence

Work through the problem in order

    High latency only to one service may be routing/service-specific.

  2. 2

    High latency across services can come from congestion, weak Wi-Fi, bufferbloat, VPNs, or ISP routing.

    DeviceOK's test is HTTP round-trip time to DeviceOK, not a direct router or game-server ping.

If it works in DeviceOK

If the matching DeviceOK test succeeds, prioritize the affected app, browser policy, operating-system setting, or configuration before assuming complete hardware failure.

If it also fails here

If the same capability also fails in DeviceOK and another trusted diagnostic path, broaden the investigation to connection, operating-system/device state, official driver or firmware support, and finally hardware.
