Use the browser test to identify the right troubleshooting layer.

iOS/iPadOS hardware access is governed by app-level Privacy & Security controls plus the browser site's permission. DeviceOK can test browser-visible media/touch behavior, but native phone diagnostics and repairs remain Apple-controlled.

What to establish first

    Review Settings → Privacy & Security for Camera or Microphone when the browser app has been denied.

  2. 2

    Re-test in DeviceOK after changing the permission rather than assuming the app reloaded it.

  3. 3

    Compare the same camera/microphone in another trusted app if the browser test fails.

What not to infer

  • Browsers cannot inspect battery hardware, Face ID/Touch ID, cellular hardware or many protected sensors.
  • All iOS browsers operate under platform restrictions that differ from desktop Chromium.
  • System/hardware repair diagnostics should use Apple support/service workflows.
