Official meaningThe paper path associated with Tray 1 is jammed or cannot feed correctly.
Do not assumeA tray jam can come from curled/damaged paper or loading, not only a roller failure.
Safe sequence
Work through the manufacturer-scoped path

Pull Tray 1 fully out.

Remove jammed paper and small torn pieces.

Fan and straighten the remaining stack; set guides to the actual paper size.

Reinsert the tray firmly and retry one page.
